Ninety percent of our time is spent in an interior space meaning we individually develop habits and behaviors where we dwell and work. Whether that’s energy, comfort, calmness, or joy – it’s amazing to think interior design can dictate demeanor for the day or comfort at night.

Children are no different and some of our favorite memories during the design process have included the little ones. From tagging along with their parents at our downtown office for meetings to including kid-friendly snacks and drinks at the big reveal, we provide a full-service, family-friendly design collaboration with our clients.

COLLABORATION

It starts from the beginning! Asking little clients some of the same questions as their parents (simplified) or leaving a textile sample for the whole family to vote on keeps the design scheme interactive. We also try including kids in any special project for their room or playroom – that gives them ownership and pride in the project. At Polish, tears of happiness usually flow when clients send us pictures or videos of their kids reacting during the full home reveal. We feed off their joy and excitement. There’s no greater privilege in our job.

COLOR

Color theory and how it affects our moods and behavior is a consideration we make when sourcing EVERYTHING that goes in your home. By selecting a color scheme that compliments your child’s disposition mixed with preference, the room design becomes one more space for them to enjoy and be a kid. From wallpaper to unique textile applications – we promise to have fun with it!

TEXTILES

There’s a reason some of the biggest names in the fabric industry are unveiling their first lines of Crypton fabrics – families, children, pets. Crypton is the latest technology making fabrics stain, odor and moisture resistant. Need we say more? Textiles (in some form) can be incorporated in every square inch of your child’s room.

We would be honored to work with you and your family to help curate the perfect space and art. Visit our website polishinteriors.com and follow along on our Instagram adventure @polishinteriorandartdesign.
