A. “My BAGI” App continues to serve as the primary means of communicating to our membership. In fact, the app received NAHB’s Association Excellence Award for Service to Members!
B. BAGI.com had nearly 60,000 hits in 2018.
C. Connecting and networking with industry peers is important to many of our members. In fact, BAGI hosted 30 events in 2018 for this purpose!
D. Demographic research in Central Indiana shows that we continue to need more housing for our workforce, with 62% of households earning below the median income of $58,000.
E. Education – BAGI provided members with educational opportunities and also educated local decision-makers and community partners through more than 60 meetings to highlight housing issues in Central Indiana.
F. Focus Group member participants began serving as resources to help develop upcoming programming and services.
G. Government Affairs partnered with MIBOR on “Housing the Region’s Future Workforce,” a study that analyzed the underbuilding and unmet demand in our area based on projected population growth.
H. Home-A-Rama at Chatham Hills in Westfield featured 6 homes and had over 9,000 visitors.
I. Indy Rama continues to promote urban living and showcased some of downtown Indy’s finest BAGI builders and neighborhoods.
J. JOBS: Over 21,000 jobs were created because of Central Indiana new home construction in 2018.
K. The Key to maximizing the value of your membership is to get engaged and involved!
L. Leadership opportunities within BAGI can help you connect with other members, better understand the industry, and stay in tune with the latest and greatest in homebuilding.
M. Market updates were presented to various real estate offices and BAGI affiliates.
N. The New Home Indy App was launched to provide a convenient place for consumers and realtors to search for available new homes in Central Indiana market.
O. Our Official partnership was established with Haven Home Magazine as our membership publication.
P. Promotions through home shows, advertising initiatives, and media relations benefited members and the new construction industry.
Q. The Quality Assurance Builder Standards continue to serve as a tool for homeowners and builders to effectively communicate and understand each other’s expectations in a project.
R. A Record number of permits were issued in 2018, surpassing 7,000 – the most our region has seen in the past decade.
S. Scholarships were awarded to 4 students in 2018. Since 1989, BAGI has awarded $350,850 to 318 recipients.
T. Total number of BAGI members surpasses 491 companies. Remember…individuals within each company membership are welcome and encouraged to get involved!

V. Volunteers help make everything that BAGI does possible. Thank you for your consistent interest and dedication.
W. Workforce development efforts through the Build Your Future Indiana program sent advocates to 40 career fairs and schools and educated over 31,000 students and their parents on opportunities available within the construction industry.
X. Membership engagement was eXtraordinary this year, and we look forward to even more in 2019!
Y. The Young Professionals group formed to provide connection opportunities for peers within the industry.
