“Teamwork makes the dream work!” For Home-A-Rama builder, Whicker Construction, this old saying couldn’t be truer, especially as they close in on the completion of their home in this year’s First Internet Bank Home-A-Rama, Zionsville. Whicker Construction is a valued member of Home Artisans of Indiana, an expanding network of like-minded home improvement professionals. Selecting their team of vendors for Home-A-Rama 2019 has been an easy task in light of the connections and passion for teamwork Home Artisans fosters through their bi-weekly meetings and events.

“The members of Home Artisans have provided such great insight for us while designing and building this home. Collaboratively, we will showcase the newest products relative to today’s marketplace in a setting clients and patrons can enjoy!” explains Stacey Lundy, Project Liaison for Whicker Construction.

Several members from the Home Artisans group have been Whicker’s top choice for vendors on this project. These vendor partners include Steg Plumbing, Ferguson, Godby Hearth and Home, Mont Granite and McComb Window and Door. “Diana with Ferguson is extremely knowledgeable and has a great sense of design – it was a pleasure working with her to select lighting and plumbing fixtures. She prioritizes appearance and value,” says Lundy.

One subcontractor and fellow member of Home Artisans elaborates on the purpose of the group and what it brings to her business daily and throughout a special project like Home-A-Rama. “Regardless of whether you have been in business 25 years or one year, networking and sharing ideas with our fellow Home Artisan members is extremely valuable. As business leaders, we should not stop learning and what better way to gain knowledge and motivation than from other like-minded individuals,” says President of Steg Plumbing, Cathy Stegemoller.

Another member describes the bi-weekly networking meetings as a benefit to design, “I was able to connect with Stacey (at least) twice a month to discuss any design changes for their Home-A-Rama window and door plan,” says Ryan Lee, sales representative of McComb Window and Door.

Partnering with a dependable and talented network of professionals in the home services and design industry is vital to the success of any project.
