“You know how some people have a lanai and it opens into the kitchen and they want all of that to seem like one space?” says Sandy Sipes, Daltile’s Showroom Designer. “You could do the pavers outside and go to the floor tile inside. Having that capability to switch between the two types of product within that same visual is pretty cool.”

Let’s say you wanted to create an outside fireplace or bar area and make the back of the wall a complementary mosaic slat. You could start with a 2 cm paver to define the area, then use the wall tile and carry the same look to that feature wall or fireplace.

“I wasn’t really interested in my outdoor space until I saw this,” says Sipes. “But when you see the pavers with the grass growing in between, it’s stunning.”
