As the heat of the summer fades and we look toward the crisp days of fall, designers have noticed the same hot trends in recent months. While quartz products like Caesarstone, Polarstone, Silestone, and Quartz are still trending toward the top, natural stone is the number one seller for summer and fall.
Back in the spring, Cory Kroger, CEO and President of Stone Artisans, and his team began working on design selections for projects that would be installed in the late summer and early fall.
“We partner with some of the most creative folks in the market,” says Kroger, who found that they all were landing on the same color and design palettes throughout their meetings. “Classic stone colors with different finishes seemed to be the right fit for many of the projects while other [clients] wanted to see the flare of the latest quartzite slab to grab the attention in the room.”
Clients are leaning toward solid colors that add depth such as matte blacks versus polished. In addition, suede finished granites and quartzite offer more interesting textures that the top designers seek.
All of these trends echo what Kroger and his team are assembling for the 2020 Home-A-Rama in Holliday Farms of Zionsville. Stone Artisans is supplying materials for several of the luxury homes featured on the tour.
“The Home-A-Rama is a great opportunity for homeowners to see what’s trending now,” says Kroger. There is a great benefit to seeing these colors and textures in person rather than in a photo or as a showroom sample.
