The opportunity to see stone variations from throughout the world is something every homeowner should experience. Indy Custom Stone recently expanded into a 22,000 square foot warehouse in Downtown Carmel’s Arts and Design district. Within walking distance to many restaurants, shops and the Indiana Design Center, ICS is easily accessible and now open to the public. Their newly expanded showroom has over 1,000 full slabs to view in-person and they proudly service the entire state of Indiana.

WHY SHOULD YOU VISIT INDY CUSTOM STONE’S NEW SHOWROOM?

“Within our 12,000 square foot showroom, we cover granite, marble, quartzite and quartz and carry the full line of Vadara quartz with all the color options in full slabs,” said owner John Lunsford, “The opportunity to select a slab in-person allows clients to see the beautiful veining, striations and natural beauty of a raw slab.”

“If for some reason a client can’t find the perfect slab for their home in our showroom, ICS works with all the stone distributors in the Indianapolis area. Clients are welcome to use local distributors as an additional resource” explained Lunsford.

Beyond their extensive inventory, Indy Custom Stone also has several kitchen displays with unique finishes such as leathered granite, sink displays, and edge profile options making the entire stone selection process a one stop shop!

WHAT’S DIFFERENT ABOUT INDY CUSTOM STONE’S PROCESS?

It starts with technology. “Our technology and fabrication process is very unique in the stone industry. We are one of two companies in the entire state of Indiana who use a robotic arm waterjet with C&C Technology. This allows our team to precisely cut the stone, ultimately giving a unique and beautiful design in our client’s home,” explains Lunsford.

ICS also offers full-service stone installation. This includes a measure and estimate, removal of previous countertops, laser template, fabrication, stone installation and finally plumbing installation for a complete look in your kitchen or bathroom!

WHAT’S A GREAT GO-TO IN THE STONE WORLD FOR HOOSIERS?

Lunsford answered, “We see a lot of customers gravitating towards quartz and quartzite. Quartzite looks similar to marble but has the durability of quartz. With many still loving greys and whites, quartz is a great option and we have the stock to choose from!”
