No two homes or finishes are the same.

Finding a small, down-to-Earth custom home and boutique commercial builder could be a challenge, but that’s exactly what you get when speaking to an owner who wears all the hats in his business, Bill Pulliam. Following his service in the United States Army, Pulliam returned to Purdue and graduated from their School of Engineering and Technology. His construction career began shortly thereafter as he then went to work for several years as a project engineer/superintendent.

Pulliam co-founded Pulliam-Scott in 1987 and has concentrated on quality over quantity ever since, building a limited number of custom homes and a few remodels per year in the greater Indianapolis area.

Pulliam – Scott Construction has a truly unique approach in the home building industry. No two homes or finishes are the same and he caters to the client’s desires throughout the entire building process.

Pulliam explained, “I start with my clients by getting a wish list of their needs, wants, how they live, the property parameters and a budget and we go from there! My architect is an expert at making the custom home or custom addition appear as if it was original to the property and/or home, down to every detail. One of my long-time trusted and highly respected vendors, McComb Pella Window and Door helps me achieve this for my clients.”

After Pulliam finalizes plans with his clients, he sends them to McComb Pella’s state of the art showroom (actually built by Pulliam – Scott Construction) to sit down with sales representative and Pella expert, Ryan Lee.

“Ryan’s vast experience initiates design ideas that add value to a home or building. Their showroom has every door and window style and color finishes, making it easy to select finishes. McComb has become an extension to my business with detailed, accurate and cost-effective products. I always feel confident putting Pella windows and doors in my projects – in all my years, I’ve never had a warranty claim on Pella,” said Pulliam.

Similar to McComb’s process, Pulliam – Scott also provides very detailed proposals followed up by submittals.

“Under no circumstance do I compromise the quality or structural integrity of any project. That’s why I prefer my business model and manage all aspects of the project – design, construction and administration work. With many years creating valued relationships, my vendors know how to take care of my clients and make selections that fit their lifestyle and, in their budget,” Pulliam said.
