The details are essential. A great team is imperative. Especially when there are so many moving parts to a new custom home build. Indy Custom Stone is well acquainted with the custom home design and building process and partners with the best designers, builders and clients in the Greater Indianapolis area.
“Our attention to detail goes unmatched. Building a new home can be a large and timely commitment for you and your family but we make the solid surface design, selection, and installation a seamless part of your building process,” said owner of Indy Custom Stone, John Lunsford.
SELECTION
Once a client signs with an Indy Custom Stone builder, the client is welcomed into their large and newly expanded showroom conveniently located in Downtown Carmel’s Arts and Design district.
“Within our 12,000 square foot showroom, we cover granite, marble, quartzite, and quartz, as well as the full line of Vadara quartz with every color option in full slabs,” said owner John Lunsford, “The opportunity to select a slab in-person allows clients to see the beautiful veining, striations and natural beauty of a raw slab.”
“If a client can’t find the perfect slab for their home in our showroom, Indy Custom Stone works with all the stone distributors in the Indianapolis area. Clients are welcome to use local distributors as an additional resource” explained Lunsford.
Indy Custom Stone covers all the details down to edge and backsplash profiles, which can include many selections when covering a large home.
“To have professional team members asking the right questions, taking detailed notes, creating the renderings, measuring the site and ultimately installing the product – that experience is key to the success and ease of building a new custom home,” said Lunsford.
FABRICATION
“Our technology and fabrication process is very unique in the stone industry. We are one of two companies in the entire state of Indiana who use a robotic arm waterjet with CNC technology. This allows our team to precisely cut the stone, ultimately giving a unique and beautiful design in a custom home,” explained Lunsford.
“We were privileged to recently partner with Sigma Builders on their model home in Holliday Farms. As you walk room to room, you’ll notice Stephanie Wiott Design did a phenomenal job creating unique stone applications. Farmhouse styled front sinks, spice shelf integration and mitered edges are some of the innovative designs in this home; we couldn’t fabricate such finishes without our advanced technology and machinery,” said Lunsford.
Interested in remodeling? Indy Custom Stone also offers full service stone installation. This includes a measure and estimate, removal of previous countertops, laser template, fabrication, stone installation and finally plumbing installation for a complete look in your kitchen, bathroom, or bar area!
APPLICATION
Indy Custom Stone doesn’t stop their services with simply countertops. They specialize in not only the many countertop options but backsplash, edging profiles, shelving, fireplaces, and outdoor spaces.
“Nearly every room in the Sigma Model Home has an application of our stone,” said Lunsford.
“That’s the beauty of a custom build, you can put your touch on the home with surface selections making it a one-of-a-kind design,” said Lunsford. “Looking back to another favorite Indy Custom Stone partnership, Wedgewood’s Home-A-Rama property in Holliday Farms had a beautiful open concept kitchen with stone that softly integrated into wood countertops – all visible from the dining and family room – it’s a showstopper and the people loved it! The elevated and classic Wedgewood home ended up winning People’s Choice Award for the annual Home-A-Rama in 2020 and we look forward to participating again in 2022,” continued Lunsford.
DESIGN TECHNOLOGY
If you’re currently considering building but haven’t committed to a building company or are interested in a full renovation with Indy Custom Stone, their interactive website can be an inspiring beginning for your selections. Among the wide array of material selections from granite, marble and porcelain to quartz, quartzite and soapstone, there are hundreds of options to view with high-definition images, live inventory counts, 3D edge profiles and slab dimensions.
Indy Custom Stone also has an interactive tab with a kitchen visualizer. Selecting different parts of the kitchen allows you to make unique surface selections which can give you a big picture idea. “Our interactive site can inspire you – whether you’re finalizing selections with your builder or months away – getting a feel for what’s out there and the possibilities is simply fascinating and can ultimately be a time saver!” said Lunsford.
