If you’re looking to furnish a new home, update a room, or simply want a new look for your fireplace mantle, RG Decor can help.
RG Decor is not your typical furniture store but rather a full-service design center. Their beautiful spacious showroom displays a giant selection of American-made upholstery, outdoor furniture, window coverings, rugs, art, Decor, flooring and lighting. An expansive 20,000 sq. ft. of showroom and warehouse enables them to have more American-made furniture in stock than any other store in Indianapolis.
“We offer everything for your home, from top to bottom,” says Karen King, owner of RG Décor. “We’re a one-stop design experience!”
“We can provide better quality furnishings and extend our client’s budget farther than all the local and national big box home furnishing stores. In fact, clients frequently tell our design team that they wish they had found RG Decor sooner because they see the difference.” Karen adds.
At RG Decor, they can assist with new construction finish selections, whole house space planning, a one-room upholstery update, or making those built-ins look amazing with some on-trend Decor selections.
“We are an accessible place where clients are getting better furniture than they would at a national chain, better service than a 100-year-old furniture company, and as much personal attention as an independent design firm,” says Karen.
The collaborative nature of their team makes this process seamless.
“Our team collaborates and can accommodate whatever the customer needs,” says Karen. “It’s nice having a team who can see people’s vision through to completion.”
This marks the sixth year that RG Decor has been in BAGI’s Home-A-Rama. In the past, the RG Decor team has partnered with Gradison Design Build, Rick Campbell Builder, Becley Building Group, and BBG Construction. This year’s Belgian farmhouse is a ranch. The design called for incorporating an earthy feel in the form of neutrals and textures. The team included some antiques and sentimental items that blend into the theme of the house to make the space inviting and comfortable yet elegant and exquisite.
“It’s not rustic but rather comfortable luxury living,” says Karen. “Whether it’s a family with young children or empty nesters, anyone can walk in and think, ‘I could live here!’”
The open floor plan enables light to flow from front to back. Bedrooms also feature big windows to invite the outside in. While the main floor is bright, crisp, and clean, the downstairs features warmer, moodier tones with a speakeasy sort of feel.
Just off the kitchen is a bedroom that Karen and her team fashioned into a multipurpose room that could be used as a craft/sewing room or a space for children to do homework.
No appointment is necessary to visit RG Decor’s showroom. It’s open to the public. People love to stop into the showroom just to browse around or gather design ideas for the next project.
“Clients really enjoy the process, and that’s great,” says Karen. “We want to take the stress and intimidation out of working with an interior designer.”
“If you see an item you love but aren’t sure it really goes with your home’s Decor, get it anyway,” Karen says. “It’s your home. It’s your money. We’ll see how we can take that and pull it together and make it work for you. Our goal is to help clients design a home that they are in love with. We like to say let us help you design the home of your dreams”
